Ahmed Alansari is a Bahraini mixed-media artist born in 1984. His practice is deeply rooted in Bahraini cultural references, shaped further by his exposure to international artists during the years he spent living in London.
Raised in a neighbourhood framed by palm trees, Alansari developed an enduring connection to the palm as both muse and symbol. This relationship is central to his body of work, where he continuously explores the palm’s form, structure, and layered meanings.
Drawing from his parallel career in banking, finance, and investment, Alansari’s work reflects the tension between two contrasting worlds: precision and intuition, rigidity and fluidity. His visual language shifts between restricted monochromatic palettes and iridescent colour, and between solid surfaces and transparent, multilayered spheres.
Since returning to Bahrain, Alansari has completed apprenticeships with several Bahraini artists and has participated in multiple exhibitions.
