Group three. Ghalia Abduljawad and Mariam Jumaan on the loom at Albareh Art Space in Adliya, working alongside master weaver Habib Mohammed Saleh. Thread over thread, each artist weaves her own reading of the heritage.

Group two. Latifa AlShaikh and Noor AlSairafi take their places at the loom at Albareh Art Space for the second two-day session, 22 to 23 September, with master weaver Habib Mohammed Saleh: warp tensioned, shuttle in hand, five hours a day.

The loom is set up at Albareh Art Space, threaded and tested the day before the first pair of artists take their places at it. From 20 September, two days for each pair, five hours a day, under the master weaver's guidance.

النول في مساحة البارح للفنون: يُسدّى ويُجرَّب قبل يوم من جلوس أول مجموعة ثنائية من الفنانين إليه. من ٢٠ سبتمبر، يومان لكل مجموعة، خمس ساعات في اليوم، بإشراف حرفي النسيج.

Where the programme lives for the next ten days: the traditional looms of the Bani Jamra weaving factory, and master weaver Habib Mohammed Saleh at the warp. Five pairs of artists take their turn here from 20 to 29 September.
